Matthew McConaughey is the Newton Knight, the man who started a rebellion against the Confederacy in Jones County, Mississippi during the American Civil War. This is the first trailer for the Free State of Jones.
After surviving the Battle of Corinth in 1862 during the civil war, Newton Knight, a poor farmer from the state of Mississippi, leads a group of local small-scale farmers and slaves in an armed rebellion against the Confederacy in Jones County. Fares marry at a later time former slaves, Rachel. He said he found mixed race community and unique for the post-war and the south. "
McConaissance continue with the historical drama Free State Jones, another movie this an ideal solution for him. It's like a part written specifically for him, and perhaps (not really). Either way that looks great and it's now definitely on my list of movies to watch in May, as you know, between this film the other Civil War (which is a week earlier), which is the same one the dust with a large blue man trying to lead to the end of the world. It must be a very good month, in fact.
Written and directed by Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, The Hunger Games), Free State Jones stars Matthew McConaughey and Keri Russell. Events of the film take place in US theaters on May 13 for.
